Paradip Port
Paradip Port is one of the major ports of India serving the Eastern and Central parts of the Country. The Port mainly deals with bulk cargo apart from other clean cargoes. Due to an unprecedented growth in the traffic handled at this Port in the last five years, there is an ambitious expansion programme to double its capacity.
Environment Sustainability Measures at Paradip Port
Apart from various employee welfare programmes, TMIL takes keen measures to combat environment pollution in and around the port area.
A daily practice of water sprinkling in every plot and jetty area prevents air pollution.
An oil and water separation pit in the workshop area ensures prevention of pollution due to spoilt oil in the workshop.
A regular practice of horticulture and plantation in the workshop and allied areas is maintained for containing pollution.
All equipment has air pre-cleaner installed for prevention of carbon emission.
